Yavapai County- The two primary residential zoning designations for horses and farm animals in Yavapai County are R1L and R1. If the property you are considering has R1 zoning, you must have a minimum of .8 acres or 35000 sq ft. If the property has a zoning designation of R1L, you need a minimum of 1.6 acres to have one horse or farm animal. If you wish to have more than one, please refer to the chart below.
