1. If you fly into Arizona, spend the extra cash and rent a four-wheel drive, rather than a passenger car. Many of the scenic “highways” in Arizona are dirt roads and can be rough on a passenger car. You may miss some spectacular scenery because of your reluctance to drive the dirt road. 2. If you have a cell phone, bring it. Arizona has much remote territory and in the event of a breakdown, you will be really glad help is just a phone call away. 3. When traveling in Arizona, drink lots of water and be sure to have water in your vehicle in the summer. Dehydration can occur quickly in the desert heat. 4. Bring your camera, swim trunks and hiking shoes!! |
