We've Moved!!!
It is no secret that the market has changed dramatically since we opened Cottonwood Real Estate in May of 2005, and when the market moves, you must move with it, or be left behind. Pondering that reality over the last year or so, Ken and I made the decision to sell our shares of the company back to our partners and move our business over to Mingus Mountain Real Estate.
We believe this move will be extremely beneficial to our clients and our business for a plethora of reasons.
- Access to listing enhancements on www.REALTOR.com. This is one of the top 4 most heavily trafficked websites for real estate in the nation. While our listings are currently on www.REALTOR.com, we will now be able to link virtual tours, additional photos and additional info. Our listings will also be among the first listings shown to a consumer...something we feel is important when our sellers may potentially be competing with 30-100 other homes in their immediate area.
- A large inventory of foreclosures and subdivisions. Mingus Mountain Real Estate handles all of the foreclosures for Countrywide, our nation’s largest (and most troubled, it would appear) mortgage lender, as well as numerous other area and national banks. We feel it will be very beneficial to our sellers to be in this highly sought after inventory pool.... In fact, we just sold one of our listings to a buyer who was experiencing problems buying a foreclosure, and opted to buy a home of one of our clients instead.
- Freedom from the daily grind. We will no longer be bogged down by the day to day operations of running a real estate office. No more will we need to resolve problems with e-mail, computers, copiers, servers and all the other items ruled by Murphy’s Law in business. We can now dedicate a larger portion of our days to our clients and their transactions.
- The Designated Broker– Kristine Anderson. I have always had a tremendous amount of respect for Kris– she is an amazingly dynamic and hard-working individual and one of the top producers in the Verde Valley year after year. We are very happy to be associated with her and be a part of her company..
- Experienced agents. Several of the agents at Mingus have been selling real estate in the Verde Valley for 20 years or more.
We feel that if you want excellence in your business, you must surround yourself with excellence, eliminate negative influences and face challenges head on with creative and innovative ideas. We truly believe there is opportunity in every market, but to find it, one must be proactive rather than reactive. You’ve got to roll with changes, rather than sit around and gripe about the good ole days….
Our new office is located in the Cottonwood Financial Center, directly across the street from Murphy’s Grill. Office hours are M-F 9-5, Sat 10-4 and Sundays by Appt.
