COMING SOON! A Virtual Tour of Jerome, AZ Jerome once had the reputation of being the “Wickedest town in the West.” Brothels and taverns lined Main Street and shoot outs were common occurrences. The mines in and surrounding Jerome produced an amazing amount of copper before a major decline in pricing worldwide eventually lead the mine to be closed. For years, Jerome was a ghost town, completely uninhabited except for a few squatters, hippies and hermits. Over the years, artists, craftsman and writers began to move in, until Jerome became thes town it is today. About 450 people live in Jerome and real estate tends to not change hands very often. |
